Position Summary:
The Outreach Education Coordinator of the MS Achievement Center (MSAC) is responsible with input from the Program Manager and Director for the development of outreach education programs for the MS Achievement Centers serving people and families living with multiple sclerosis. The Outreach Education Coordinator will coordinate and carry out the programs through collaborative relationships with other health and wellness entities and MS advocacy organizations. The Outreach Education Coordinator will also be the primary contact for development of the MS Achievement Centers consortium advocacy project.

Position Summary:
The Outreach Education Coordinator of the MS Achievement Center (MSAC) is responsible with input from the Program Manager and Director for the development of outreach education programs for the MS Achievement Centers serving people and families living with multiple sclerosis. The Outreach Education Coordinator will coordinate and carry out the programs through collaborative relationships with other health and wellness entities and MS advocacy organizations. The Outreach Education Coordinator will also be the primary contact for development of the MS Achievement Centers consortium advocacy project.
Core Duties:
- Serve as point of contact for MSAC outreach education
- Contact other MS organizations to organize road show programs in rural areas of Northern California
- Communicate with other collaborators (e.g. local colleges community colleges) to organize adjunct wellness programming
- Communicate with other advocacy organizations on ways to incorporate wellness program outcomes into advocacy efforts
- Work with Program Manager in identifying expert speakers and community resources to enhance the learning experiences for MS community
- Assist Program Manager with nutrition education program
- Work with Program Director on development of Consortium project
- Cross train on all aspects of current program delivery to be able to assist and fill in during other staff paid time off. This would also allow MSAC
management to more fully participate in outcomes management and fund raising - Other administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a health-related field (or equivalent experience)
- Two (2) years experience of working with people with chronic neurological conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree
- Experience working with people with multiple sclerosis (MS)
- Strong written and oral communications skills organizational skills multi-tasking ability and problem-solving methodology
- Able to organize work and adjust priorities accordingly take instruction and follow established procedures
- Must be able to maintain a variety of records and files including confidential and administrative files establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with all customers and co-orkers
Pay Range
$25.25 - $36.61 /hour
