Under the direct supervision of the Financial Services Director, the Outreach Coordinator is responsible to provide outreach and application support services to promote the Emergency Rental and Utilities Program (program). The duties include but are not limited to outreach, providing application processing assistance, sharing/promoting content, and utilizing collaborations to provide additional assistance for program households. This position will manage the day-go-day planning, coordination, and execution of the outreach activities including project management and stakeholder agreement. Responsibilities :
ACCOUNTABILITY. This position receives general supervision and is required to exercise independent decision-making and judgement in the areas of principle responsibility.Qualifications :
Experience. Minimum of four years of relevant professional or volunteer experience in project management, communications, community outreach/engagement and/or public relations. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required.
Education/Experience substitution. In accordance with County policy.
Licenses/Certifications. Valid driver’s license.
Other (e.g., post-offer medical exam, polygraph, background check, driver's license record, etc.). Must pass background check and maintain acceptable driving record.

Applications support:
- Assist new and preexisting households with processing/reprocessing applications in person, on phone or virtual, due to the current heath order in place.
- Applications should not be denied and/or put on hold due to lack of documentation. Follow up on those applications.
- Track and provide monthly reports for all applications worked on during the month, tracking shall include but is not limited to the number of applications started, completed, applications still in process, the number of approved applications, number of application that did not qualify and number of applications that did not qualify but were able to qualify and receive other resources.
Outreach:
- Utilize different platforms to share, promote, and/or disseminate contend created by the County
- Disseminate information about the program on flyers, distribute when possible.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to promote the program. The various stakeholders include but are not limited to the County, City of Anthony, City of Las Cruces, City of Sunland Park, Town of Mesilla, and Village of Hatch.
- Manage the meetings including, but not limited to: scheduling, drafting agendas, keeping meeting minutes, arranging for relevant technology for meetings, securing meeting space, maps for meetings and any meeting follow-up.
- Develop spreadsheets to track the outreach events and efforts in relation to this collaborative project. Ensure the list is updated and accurate.
- In collaboration with County staff, generate required weekly reports for the outreach funds.
- Support County Finance Department staff in managing outreach grant.
- Providing general project management and technical assistance.
- Work with the County staff to develop marketing/promotional materials, help with the logistics surrounding the marketing, and media content.
- In collaboration with County staff and ensure resources are leveraged, attend meetings and outreach events. Available for some evening and weekend work, as needed.
- Serve as the county liaison for the outreach project to internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates to the County staff including any new relevant developments.
- Upload relevant information, and maintain documentation in county shared drive.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education. High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (public policy, political science, or other social science) or equivalent experience preferred.

Must have knowledge of: Experience working with diverse organizations and individuals. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Familiar with community leaders throughout the county. A demonstrated understanding of the ethnicity, language, socioeconomic status and life experiences of populations in the County.
Must have skills to: Operate general office and computer equipment and using software including Microsoft Office Word; maintain accurate and updated records; facilitate groups and meetings; promote and organize events/meetings. Ability to assist in the outreach efforts and focused marketing objectives.
Must have ability to: Effectively and accurately communicate verbally and in writing in both English and Spanish languages; work independently and as a team member; handle fast-paced, demanding and stressful environments, self-motivated, punctual, reliable, professional, respectful and creative.
