Peak Utility Services Group is an integrated group of engineering and construction companies serving the Electric, Natural Gas and Telecommunications industry. We provide a full suite of engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance services including repair, replacement, maintenance, and installation of natural gas, telecommunications, and electric infrastructure through four operating subsidiaries: SiteWise, Kelly Cable, Riley Brothers and Superior Pipeline Services.

Position Title: OSP Engineer

As a OSP Engineer, daily work will revolve around the construction and maintenance of plant infrastructure, design, and engineering as well as providing a route analysis of underground & aerial utility installation. If field survey work is required that will include visiting work locations, taking photos and creating drawings for placement of telecom facilities.

Essential Functions:

· Adheres to the industry standard regarding construction and maintenance of utility infrastructure

· Determines the scope, budget, and schedules for existing and new utility projects

· Submits weekly project status reports to the reporting managers

· Delivers project installations within the stipulated time

· Follows engineering standards and work as per market engineering specifications

· Develops aerial and underground route maps and executes tasks such as route analysis

· Assumes charge of utility verification and all cable or duct route mapping activities

· Maintains records of any applicable cable splicing and topography

· Possesses proper knowledge of CAD and other software applications used to create engineering designs

· Guides junior employees to achieve projects goals

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Performs other duties as assigned

Success Factors:

· Excellent knowledge in telecom engineering, construction principles & practices

· Experience and knowledge with New Developments, Subdivision and MDU designs

· Experience and knowledge with aerial, buried, and underground designs

· Experience and knowledge with Fiber and Copper cable placement

· Proficient MS Office skills including Excel, email, internet navigation

· Prior experience managing a high volume of projects

· Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment with diverse work groups

· Excellent organizational skills

Experience and Education:

· 5 - 7 years of experience working in the telecom industry

· An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year to year basis

Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:

· Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver’s License is required within two weeks of employment.

· Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
