The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As an Orthodontic Sales Manager (*) DACH of Oral Care Solution Division Dental (OCSD), you will have the opportunity to lead direct reports and follow up on the current change management of 3M. Collaborate with orthodontic colleagues in different functions like Sales, Marketing, Inside Sales, Training & Education, Clinical Specialists etc. including the EMEA (Europe Middle East & Africa) Orthodontic team. Here, you will create an impact by:
  • Leading the orthodontics sales team in the DACH region with $21 Mio turnover
  • Coaching and managing of 11 direct reports, Field Sales Reps & 1 Clinical Specialist via performance management. Additional indirect responsibility for 3 Inside Sales Reps related to the region via dotted line.
  • Implement the marketing concepts, daily operations and generating new demand incl. new customer acquisition to reach and overachieve sales targets and growth objectives
  • Develop and implement the ortho sales strategy, using CRM system (SalesForce)
  • Willingness to travel/co-travel with Field Sales Reps regarding 1:1 coaching and at customer calls
  • Perspectively develop the go-to-market model and deploy the launch of a new product portfolio element in the DACH region
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s/Apprenticeship degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • Uses leadership and supervisory skills necessary for managing and coaching people e.g., goal settings, documentation, conflict resolution, delegation, motivation, strategic planning, etc.
  • Profound previous experience of sales / skills in former positions e. g. a Business Development Manager/ Sales Supervisor or Account Manager
  • Excellent language skill in German and fluent English are required
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include
  • Project- & change management-, Communication-, Negotiations-Skills etc.
  • Knowledge of computer programs and corporate systems relevant to sales responsibility is required.
  • Acquire solid market know-how (competitors, trends, etc.). Utilizes this business knowledge to educate others.
  • Understanding of digital workflows and business development & global networking experience are a plus
