Operations Trainee – Commercial in Houston, Texas

We are currently looking for bright and driven future leaders who are pursuing their Associates degree to be an integral part of our thriving Commercial division as a Sales Representative for our Houston, TX office. Individuals can work full-time while obtaining their Associates degree. Upon degree completion, individuals will be considered to enter our competitive Operations Leadership Development Program and lead high-performing Commercial Sales and Service teams. We are looking for individuals to join upcoming June 19th paid training class.

Responsibilities:

This role is for goal-oriented people with the drive to be the best. In this position, you will be working directly with small business owners, advising on a variety of coverages to properly insure their holdings. You are responsible for showing our customers the value that comes with being a GEICO policyholder: Preparing insurance quotes, advising customers on coverage, and converting quotes into new policies. You will do all of that without making a single cold call.

Basic Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an Associate's Degree program with expected graduation by May 2025
• Availability to work in our Houston, TX office

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior leadership experience demonstrating data-driven decision making, motivating a group towards a common goal, and/or delivering results through others

• Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Effective time management, attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills

• Prior sales experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced, high-volume call center environment
• Bilingual in English and Spanish, if interested in joining our Commercial Bilingual Sales division

Salary: $20.50 per hour/$41,307 per year
