Purpose & Impact:
The Operations Manager will support the mission and purpose of the Children's Board Family Resource Center program. Serves on the CBFRC leadership team and actively participates in operational planning, performance improvement, and the daily management of Center operations. Will assist the Program Director to ensure performance and contractual benchmarks, provide direction and support to Center Managers, and develops and enhances community relationships. Works collaboratively with CBFRC staff, partners, and stakeholders, to identify community needs, develop strategies to promote family support, and actively works to eliminate potential barriers to accessing Center services and programming.
Essential Functions:
- Managing operational planning; daily management, and a physical presence in all CBFRC locations, including direct supervision of Center Manager, to assure progression toward program contract goals.
- Guides and coaches each Center Manager, meeting at least once every 2 weeks to provide support and to assure Center Managers compliance and quality of one-on-one staff supervision and other assigned responsibilities.
- Participates with Program Director and Quality Assurance Specialist in formulation of agency policies, and with agency CQI activities.
- Ensures all CBFRC staff understand program and agency operating procedures and policies and receive job and task specific training.
- Strengthen and continually maintain a welcoming environment in each Center.
- Maintain Center budget management, monthly cost activities including budget tracking, budget preparation, monthly status reviews, and compile reports as requested with updated financial data.
- Responsible for the identification, investigation, and reporting of all programs' related critical/serious incidents.
- Collaborates with Program Director, Center Managers and CBFRC staff to implement service and performance improvement.
- Manages volunteer program to include recruitment, training, tracking, tasks, and associated events across all Centers.
- Manages Community Advisory Council (CAC) recruitment, relationships, meetings, planning, and reporting.
- Organizes, leads, and attends community and Program meetings as required.
- Available by cell phone during Center operating hours unless on agency approved leave.
- Responds to staff and clients to ameliorate problems.
- Participates in recruitment, hiring and training of new employees.
- Provides a positive and engaging work environment by aligning individual and team objectives to program objectives, manages and support employee development and growth and provides regular and direct feedback on performance and goal progress to include written employee evaluations for all assigned staff.
Other:
- Must demonstrate sensitivity to our service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and needs.
- Housed at one of the Centers.
- Performs all other duties within reason as assigned by the CBFRC Director.
- Understand the value and foundation of the Protective Factors framework.
- Practice Family Support Principles
- Cross trained to perform daily operating procedures.
- Participate in Center events and work to support contractual outcomes.
- Obtain training in the Center data system: Attendance and Needs Tracking System and maintain member confidentiality.
- Bilingual employees may be needed to review and/or translate (verbal or written communications)
- Attend mandatory trainings and perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Must have a high level of energy, be adaptable to irregular hours, be able to be on-call as needed, and be available to travel as required.
Education:
Masters in social work, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree in human services or related field required.
Experience:
Must have a minimum of 5 years of job-related experience and 2 years of supervisory experience.
Skills:
Must possess demonstrated leadership and administrative abilities, be able to interpret statistics in order to monitor contract performance, be able to establish effective working relationships with agency staff and with outside service providers, ad be effective at communicating at all levels.
