Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) program provides in-home services for infants and toddlers, ages 0-3, who have developmental delays and disabilities. ECI provides families and caregivers with support so they can provide the best learning opportunities for their children. They receive Occupational, Physical and Speech therapies, case management, and developmental rehabilitation services in their natural environment.
Counties Served: Bowie, Camp, Cass, Franklin, Morris, Red River and Titus.
General Description of Duties:
Responsible for performing a variety of data entry and other administrative tasks related to support for the Texas Early Childhood Intervention children’s services.
Qualifications Required:
- Two years of professional social services office experience required.
- High degree of skill and experience working with Microsoft Word, Outlook, OneDrive, Calendar, Excel, Word and creating documents and working with Adobe.
- Typing (50 words per minute with minimal errors).
- Accurate data entry.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
Qualifications Preferred:
- Associates in office administration or related degree.
- Three to four years working in a social services office.
- Texas Notary Public a plus.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Effectively communicate over the phone, in writing, and in person with families, therapist, employees and the general public using tact, courtesy and good judgement while applying knowledge of departmental regulations and procedures.
- Represent department and agency with a courteous and helpful attitude toward all agencies and departments served.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Work with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Set up and accurately maintain official information on multiple databases.
- Increase knowledge and application of computer software programs as required.
- Using Outlook Calendar, schedule and maintain appointments and events for director, and department.
- Collect and submit data electronically accurately, alpha and numeric.
- Be knowledgeable of service delivery and operations.
- Make mathematical computations and tabulations accurately with reasonable speed.
- Respect and maintain confidential information in all situations
- Provide documentation to Finance Department in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain automated individual ECI client records/files.
- Assist the Director in tracking service delivery.
Physical Requirements:
- Communication - English speaking (bilingual a plus)
- Pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
- Sitting for 2-3 hours consecutively
- Use of hand, wrist, fingers
- Hearing for conversation
- Vision for driving and reading
- Standing 1-2 hours consecutively
- Reaching overhead and in front of body
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Walking for short distances
- Stooping, kneeling, bending, twisting, crouching
