Summary
Individual assigned to this position will normally perform a variety of routine and repetitive clerical duties independently and according to well-known procedures and practices but will perform more-complex assignments under close and frequent supervision.
Essential Functions
- Perform essential assistant duties for the Sr. Project Manager, including but not limited to: type or otherwise prepare a variety of letters, memos, forms, and reports as directed.
- Compile data from varied sources and makes summary reports as required. May involve routine research, mathematical calculations and tabulations in accordance with established methods.
- Maintains files; searches files and records for readily identifiable information, as directed.
- Maintains follow-up system on reports requiring action on a periodic basis.
- Performs duties as a receptionist for Ho-Chunk, Inc. corporate office when needed.
- Assists other departments on special projects as needed.
- Greets visitors and provide information within scope of knowledge or refer to appropriate individuals.
- Receives, sorts, and logs all incoming mail from U.S. Post Office and courier services.
- Responds to telephone inquiries from the public and other departments.
- Participates in the planning of Operations retreats and staff development meetings.
- Assist in maintaining travel program essential duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Provide support to the Operations department as requested.
- All other job related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Experience
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to work in a deadline driven environment
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Maintains a valid Driver’s License and be insurable under company insurance provider/program
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent required; six months related experience preferred.
