E. J. Mertaugh Boat Works is a full service marina located in downtown Hessel. We are an historical, small business with growth opportunities for those who seek a challange in a fast paced environment. Mertaugh Boat Works is a full service marina. We specialize in restoration of antique wooden boats, inboard and outboard repowering, cold and heated storage, launching and hauling, marine inboard and outboard service. With grown in mind, MBW is updating inventory systems and building brand new storage and maintenance facilities.

We are looking for an Office Assistant to join our team and provide administrative support to our staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including answering phones, filing, data entry, and other office duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be highly organized, and have a positive attitude. We are looking for someone who is reliable and willing to take initiative in order to help our office run smoothly.

Responsibilities:

• Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate person or department.
• Answer phones and take messages.
• Maintain office supplies and order new supplies when needed.
• Maintain an organized work space and showroom.
• Schedule meetings and appointments.
• Enter data into inventory system.
• Process incoming and outgoing mail.
• Assist customers with questions in a friendly manner.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
