Job description
This position is primarily work-from-home, but candidates must be able to attend staff meetings in Washington, DC area once every two weeks. This position reports to the executive director and chief operating officer. We offer a generous benefits and retirement package and an inclusive and open work environment.
Annual Salary: $65,000-70,000/year
Job Description:
Manage all financial activities, transactions, and reporting, including but not limited to:
- Manage and process payments, vendor invoices, and employee expense reimbursement
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements in QuickBooks
- Serve as the financial point of contact to grantees
- Support the CFO in preparing and providing reports for the annual tax return, audit and 990 submission
- Prepare and disseminate individual tax forms for U.S. citizens and foreign nationals
Manage retirement account transactions
Provide administrative assistance to the members of the Israel Institute program staff; including but not limited to:
- Serve as the IT liaison for technical support and new equipment installation
- Serve as the liaison with HR providers
- Maintain official documents and records.
- Maintain Executive Director’s calendar and travel arrangements
Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Director and COO.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (specifically, Outlook, Word, and Excel) and QuickBooks
- Exacting attention to detail
- Excellent ability to follow financial policies and procedures
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check
