Greenbelt Ambulatory Surgery, LP is Multi-Specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center in Prince George's County serving patients from Montgomery County, Prince George's County all the way through Washington DC.

This position is for a Nurse in an ASC setting. The Clinical Nurse Manager Administrative skills such as Policy writing are required. Must have MD license. BLS and ACLS must be up to date. Must have OR and GI experience and demonstrative Computer and Administrative Skills. Experience a plus. Must be reliable and have a good work ethic as well as good references. This position will rotate between our Rockville and Greenbelt locations. Competitive Salary that is NEGOTIABLE.
The Clinical Nurse Manager will successfully complete the nursing orientation at both of our centers. This person will coordinate nursing care and services for patients telephonically, electronically, and/or by mail. Will consult with physicians, and other healthcare providers within the centers as necessary to resolve any concerns. All nursing practice is based on the legal scope of practice, national and specialty nursing standards, our centers Policies and Procedures, and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. The Professional Model of Care requires registered professional nurses to be responsible and accountable for their own practice. Provide continuous accountability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate clinical care and ensure that continuity of care is maintained.

Specific Requirements and Preferences
Nursing experience. Minimum of 1 year of recent Endoscopy and/or OR experience in an ASC setting. Minimum of 1 year of demonstrated nursing leadership experience for example as a charge nurse. (Required)
Functional Accountabilities
Professional Practice
- Participate in/support Shared Nursing Leadership.
- Perform Benchmarking Studies to include AAAHC benchmarking elements.
- Participate, contribute to internal/external committees, professional organizations, community activities.
- Accountable to coordinate and complete the center’s Performance Improvement process.
- Identify, define, and report on measures consistent with National Quality Indicators for Ambulatory Surgery Centers.
- Maintain all matters pertaining to credentialing of all licensed clinical staff.
- Maintain all ongoing Facility Logs as well as directing quarterly drills.
- Maintain Infection Control surveillance, audits & testing.
- Perform and document Annual Risk Assessment
- Integrate evidence-based practice and research into practice.
- Assist with writing and maintaining policy and procedure manual.
- Assist physicians and other professional providers to maintain appropriate cost and desired patient outcomes.

Partners for Excellence
- Facilitate interdisciplinary patient care rounds/conferences to review treatment goals and optimize outcomes as required for Quality Assessment.
- Ensure time, schedule and alternate coverage accuracy for staffing of both centers.
- Direct the flow of patients and staff to assure patients are adequately managed and the care environment is running smoothly.
- Work in collaboration with professional staff including other RNs, Techs and Anesthesia personnel as well as other unlicensed assistive personnel as manifested in the state practice act/guidelines and our center’s job descriptions.
- Communicate and escalate clinical/administrative issues as appropriate to levels of individuals assigned for resolution.
- Participate in the peer review for staff.
