Darling Ingredients is looking for a Non CDL Ramp Driver to join our Rose Hill, NC team. A commercial driver’s license (CDL) is not required.

This is a critical role responsible for maintaining a safe and productive operation of ramp area, cleaning work area as well as loading or unloading trailer as needed.

This opportunity would be ideal for someone who is interested in gaining skills and advancing in their career. Our company offers the opportunity for our employees, if interested, to be provided with paid training to help them obtain their CDL license.

This position is scheduled to work Sunday – Thursday from 7:00 pm – 7:00am with half days on Wednesday!

Requirements:

• Must be able to drive tractor trailers on the yard safely and pick up trailers to dump.
• Ability to read instructions on chemical containers and SDS.

Essential Functions:

• Efficient loading or unloading of trailers as assigned.
• Coordinate the movement of trailers around the yard as needed.
• When unloading, perform proper pit selection based on material type.
• Safely operate equipment used such as overhead cranes or use of the Bartlett for unloading trailers.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Expected to perform other duties as assigned.

Physical demands:

• Ability to move 55 gallon drums weighing 450 pounds using hand truck.
• Bending and stooping.
• Work at heights of at least 12 feet.
• Climb stairs frequently.

Working environment:

• Typical industrial plant work environment.
• Ability to work both inside and outside, in a damp environment 80% of the time.
