Night Bus Service Technician

Fuel and service the fleet. Open and prepare service bays for daily maintenance duties. Review survey of fleet and communicate with dispatch to coordinate daily run requirements, and necessary fueling functions. Inspect and report Bus condition clearly using Fleetpro work orders. Perform services as required.

Tasks

• Open and prepare all service areas for daily fueling operations and secure all areas at the end of the day.
• Perform service duties as required.Complete Driver PreTrip/IAA inspection per FHWA/Fleetpro requirements.

Check and adjust all engine compartment fluid levels and record on appropriate documents.Check and adjust all tire pressures, and inspect tires, rims, lug nuts for damage.Check and Maintain cleanliness of bus interior to Fleetpro in-service package criteria.Inspect condition of interior and document at each fueling.Inspect condition of bus cleanliness, functional and emergency systems, and report/address at time of full service.Coordinate all schedules of vehicle usage in order to fulfill vehicle demand for the customer (shift supervisor).

• Review ready lanes checking for buses that need to be fueled and interior cleanliness.Sweep/Pick-Up/Clean as required.
• Review fuel lane and return any buses not needing fuel to the ready lanes.
• Communicate daily with Supervisor and Dispatch to verify sufficient buses available. Inform Supervisor of issues or concerns.
• Complete reporting and administrative duties as required, to include:Accurate completion of Service Order.

Maintain “Full Service” board.Document and return all “Lost & Found” items to Dispatch.

• Maintain cleanliness of work area.
• Maintain wash bay machinery and cleanliness.Maintain regular lubrication and maintenance of wash bay machinery.

Responsible for Cleanliness of wash-bay area and assigned laundry.

• Ensure supply availability. Coordinate usage and availability. Duties to include:

Communicating needs to Senior Bus Service Technician prior to running out. Cleaning of HVAC filters to ensure sufficient supply of clean filters.

• Communicate any issues to the Supervisor, and assist in establishing alternative plans to ensure sufficient buses to meet operating demands.
• Target completion of all in service buses fueled and serviced each day. Out of service buses will be serviced prior to being placed back in service.
• Establish and maintain relationships with other Fleetpro staff, customers and other contacts in a positive, professional manner and promote a responsive, cooperative atmosphere.
• Assist Supervisor with special projects and other assignments as needed.

Knowledge

Mechanical — General knowledge of vehicles being fueled and serviced.

General — Knowledge of safety and operation of fueling facility, and proper fueling procedures. Knowledge of specific inspection requirements for vehicles being serviced

Overall Experience

Experience driving a bus. Commercial Drivers License with Passenger Endorsement is required at time of hire. Fleetpro Regulatory training certification required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
