Currently we are searching for a Network Sales Manager in our Hamburg Office.
You will be responsible for the following Tasks:
- Manage the Customer Success Partner team
- As a member of our European Sales team, the successful candidate will be dedicated to growing our largest and most important Chinese customers in Europe and accelerating growth of European companies looking to grow in Greater China.
- The purpose is to drive consistency and align with our overall global sales strategy, resulting in profitable growth globally.
- Grow ocean and logistics sales opportunities through close push/pull collaboration with Greater China sales team.
- Take ownership to re-start business that is discontinued due to destination stakeholder concerns.
- Work with destination consignees and origin teams to capture additional opportunities not moving with Maersk.
- Develop lasting relationships with customers to promote Maersk as a strategic partner.
- Identify, pursue and close new business agreements with Chinese customers in Europe using the full range of internal and external resources available.
- Collaborate with European colleagues and assist to break down cultural and language barriers in order to attain opportunities for Maersk.
- Take ownership in the distribution of sales leads and opportunities between Europe and Greater China sales teams and follow up closely to ensure steady progress through the sales cycle.
- Stakeholder & Relationship Management.
- Act as subject matter expert for Chinese colleagues on European processes and operational development, and vice versa.
- Help redirect inquires and destination service concerns from Greater China sales teams to the appropriate stakeholders in Europe.
- Position Maersk for access to the right stakeholders, influencers and decision makers throughout the customer organization.
- Maintain and develop customer relationships. Strive to expand the scope of personal client contacts across all relevant and multiple functions and departments in the client.
- Identify individuals in the client where a relationship should be developed/maintained by other relevant colleagues from any function and at any level within Maersk.
- Be consultative, a problem solver and a ‘connector’ between the client and Maersk, leveraging the expertise of our wider organization.
- Match our products to the client’s needs, providing sustainable transport and logistics solutions and value adding services.
- Volume, Revenue and Profit budget delivery and growth.
- Successful tender and opportunity handling.
- Share of wallet across all products.
We are looking for:
- The ideal candidate must possess enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. We also value great people skills, ambition, and integrity. The ideal candidate must have excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills (both written and oral). In addition, you must have organizational and time management skills including multi-tasking, prioritizing, and the ability to plan work activities efficiently to meet deadlines.
- A Bachelor's degree is a nice to have but a minimum of 5 years sales experience is needed.
- Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin) is required; other dialects (Shanghainese / Cantonese) are a plus.
- Understanding of Chinese culture and business mannerisms is necessary, as well as the ability to adapt and navigate naturally between East/West cultures and practices.
- You must be proficient with Microsoft Office, web-based software and Customer Relationship Management tools such as Salesforce.com.
