Work Schedule: 8 hour work day - 7:00/7:30 am to 3:30/4:00 pm (1/2 hour lunch)

Job Description:

In cooperation with the Connecticut Department of Social Services (DSS), the Connecticut Department of Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is seeking to develop an ASP.NETCore application that will facilitate the import, validation, and integration of attendance data provided by the State's Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) System, as well as dissemination of relevant attendance data to Fiscal Intermediaries (FIs). The system will be built according to the application development standards and procedures adopted by DDS, where applications are modular, standards-driven, service-oriented, and exhaustively tested.

SCOPE OF WORK

The work will consist of training, followed by work on the project itself. The project work is divided into six distinct tasks:

· Design, implement, and fully test solutions for adapting DDS’s two service authorization systems and its in-house service-tracking system to work seamlessly with the EVV integration solution. Work with Care Management project/procurement personnel to ensure that any new service authorization solution and service tracking solution have the required EVV integration capabilities.

· Design, implement, and fully test a comprehensive solution for handling EVV import/validation errors, including reporting and notification systems for DDS agency staff and service providers.

· Design, implement, and fully test code that performs automated testing of EVV import, validation, and error handling processes.

· Design, implement, and fully test an integration solution that will allow visit data submissions from other EVV systems and non-EVV systems.

· Develop documentation for all solutions.

Required Skills/Experience:

· Experience and Technical proficiency in ASP.NETCore Web API

· 10+ years of experience in C#, including experience with (and understanding of) lambda expressions, local functions, extension methods, LINQ, generics, exception handling, async methods, dependency injection, generics, and exception handling.

· Considerable experience with SQL Server Development, including tables, views, stored procedures, user-defined functions, and complex SQL DML.

· Extensive experience with unit testing (including both unit and integration testing), preferably using Xunit.

· Experience with serializing, deserializing, and visually understanding JSON

· Experience with Git for source code control.

· Experience with Visual Studio for development, testing, debugging and deploying applications.

· Experience with Swagger for spot-testing APIs.

· Considerable experience with project support activities including:

· Refining/clarifying business/functional requirements

· Designing applications and databases

· Tracking issues

· Working with business owners and users

· Coordinating user acceptance testing

· Actively participating in agile methodologies

· Creating technical documentation

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $75.00 - $80.00 per hour
