Position Title: Nekoosa CCLC/Boys & Girls Club Coordinator
Hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week
Classification: Non-exempt, Hourly
Salary: Based on experience and qualifications
Reports to: Site Director
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Site Director, the Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the delivery of a broad range of programs within a designated unit, to ensure the programs create the outcomes of academic success, good character and citizenship and healthy lifestyles. The Program Coordinator plans, develops, implements and evaluates programs within the Site that aligns with the CCLC grant as well as manages the Cayen system. This position works at Alexander Middle School (AMS) in the School year and at the Boys & Girls Club WR Center and AMS in the summer.
75% Program Development and Management Plan, develop, evaluate and oversee implementation of arts, education, life skills, sports & fitness, technology and specialty program, activities and services that fits into the three priority outcomes of academic success, good character and citizenship and healthy lifestyles
- Monitor program delivery and work with program staff to plan and implement improvements
- Establish and maintain program goals and settings that insure the health and safety of members
- Ensure the evaluation of Club programs on a continual basis and ensures programs/activities respond to member needs
- Compile monthly grant reports reflecting activities, attendance, and participation
15% Site Management
Manage unit, staff, and members in the absence of the Site Director
- Maintain a healthy and safe environment, by ensuring facilities, supplies and equipment are maintained
- Independently manage a group of members (15-25)
- Independently manage member behavior - including documentation of incidents/accidents
- Develop relationships with Club members, parents, site contacts and community members
- Conduct monthly tornado and fire drills
10% Additional Duties Volunteer and attend Club events as assigned
- May be required to drive Club van
- All other duties as requested
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years work experience developing programs for youth
- Ability to supervise and motivate staff
- Knowledge of Youth Development
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Self-started, to work with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of PC and/or Mac computer and software including Adobe and MS Office; ability to learn new program as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Over 18 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
