What you will be doing:

The MRI Technologist provides quality care to patients undergoing MRI procedures. The technologist must demonstrate full knowledge of MRI procedures and equipment.

  • Facilitate the patient experience by greeting patients, explaining pre and post procedure instructions, and verifying patient's identity. Utilize AIDET Principles in all patient and provider encounters.
  • Perform MRI exams using proper protocols and positioning techniques, transporting patients safely, verifying accuracy of orders and documenting patient information.
  • Document the patient's exam through data entry, report retrieval, scanning and recording the exam details in the electronic medical record system.
  • Conduct environmental and safety procedures including cleaning and sterilizing the exam room and equipment. Evaluate and maintain supply levels and practice safe patient maneuvers.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge and licensure through educational workshops, professional publications and societies.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Education: Associate degree or Certified Radiologic Technologist
  • Experience: 1 - 3 years of experience as a radiologic technologist with at least 1_ year in MRI. Experience working in Breast Biopsies preferred. Competent in starting IV's required.
  • Licensure/Certification: Board Certified RT (MR) and in good standing with ARRT. Must have CPR/BLS certification.

  • Conditions of employment: Annual flu shot, COVID Vaccine, CPR Certification, compliance with OSHA and HIPAA guidelines, wear all required Personal Protective Equipment and Radiation Dosimeter Badge.
  • Schedule/Shift: 3, 12-hour day shift with rotating weekends. Every other weekend. Shift Differential of $4.00/hour when working a weekend day shift.
