Plans and implements activities that promote the physical development of children in Spanish. Works with children ages 2 to 6 in small groups for 30 minutes at a time to promote coordination,

Responsible for the care, hygiene, learning, developmental activities both indoors and outdoors for children. Makes children feel welcome and comfortable. Communicates directly with parents regarding behavior and development.

Duties will consist of:

• Preparing Creative Movement activities and executing a developmentally appropriate program in line with the goals and philosophy of The Pineapple School
• Teaching children in the Spanish language and encouraging their development
• Conducting individual assessments for students and, based on the findings, develop Individual Learning Plans for each student.
• Attending staff meetings, training events and workshops during non-business hours
• Maintaining required level of training hours with required documentation

We are looking for an instructor who truly enjoys and appreciates young children and has good verbal and written communication skills in Spanish. There are great opportunities for growth within the school for professional candidates who are looking for a life-time career in teaching.

• Fluent in Spanish, verbally and written; Proficient in English
• Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in physical education, physical studies, sport studies, dance or a related area (preferred)
• At least one year experience working with preschool-aged children
• Stability, intelligence and professionalism
