Mortgage Underwriter Post-Closing Analyst
Post Closing Mortgage Analyst (In Office Position Only)
Quest Advisors, Inc is seeking an experienced Quality Control Post Closing Mortgage Underwriter to join our team. We have both remote and in-office positions.

Primary responsibilities include in-depth pre-fund and post-close quality assurance audits. The position requires experience in detection and prevention of loan fraud with underwriting and guideline knowledge of both conventional and government loans. Working in a paperless environment, the Quality Control Underwriter is expected to make loan level risk analysis and work closely with other operational departments.

• Perform and complete an independent full or targeted underwrite of files selected for Quality Review, both pre-funding and post-closing files. The review to include credit documents, appraisal, compliance and closing documents
• Determine if the final decision or action taken was in accordance with Agency and Investor requirements (conventional conforming & jumbo, FHA, USDA & VA loan products)
• Audit results to incorporate risk rating, assignment of defect from a list of standardized defect categories along with determination if the finding is related to credit or compliance and assignment to the proper area of responsibility
• Data integrity reviews
• Prepare a write-up of the defects found within the loan files. These write ups will be accurate, objective, clear, concise, constructive, and timely
• Communicate effectively with key personnel in other departments to obtain responses to findings noted during the audit. Recommendations can be developed independently or through a collaborative process with the audited parties
• Follow up on outstanding audit items and recommendations to determine satisfactory disposition in a timely manner
• Early detection and prevention of fraud, familiarity with red flags
• Maintain knowledge of underwriting guidelines, AUS (DU, LP and Manual) requirements.
• Maintain daily productivity levels
• Assume or perform additional duties as they arise, cross train within the quality control section of the department and be responsive to the needs of the entire department
• Continuous education via webinars and other training
