Utilize service truck to maintain company equipment within a breakdown location for safe and efficient operation.

DUTIES:

• Ability to drive and operate company provided service truck to an onsite location where service is needed
• Engage with Fleet customers on new service opportunities for our customers
• Engage with a variety of customers each day and represent Venture Transport
• Consult with the customer on work to be performed
• Engage with potential customers about Mobile Service opportunities to grow this segment of the business
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspection.
• Perform safety inspections in accordance with FMCSA 49 CFR 396.
• Diagnose and repair minor engine issues using specific manufacturer software systems.
• Repair or replace brakes, wheel seals, suspension parts and coupling devices.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and pneumatic issues.
• Repair or replace chassis, suspension and axle components including, but not limited to: air bags, shocks, brakes, ABS modules, air tanks and lines.
• Repair or replace flooring, rub rails, doors, door seals, wall and roof panels.
• Perform general repairs to company equipment.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance

OTHER SIGNIFICANT JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE

• Partner with mobile team, drivers, dispatchers, and leadership to perform necessary repairs, maintenance, or inspection or troubleshooting of various service issues:
• Intake of road service calls to help drivers during emergency breakdowns
• Comply with company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations.
• Additional duties as assigned by Leadership and Customer.

REQUIRED SKILLS (TECHNICAL, CLERICAL, LANGUAGE, ETC.)

• Knowledge of computers and ability to use Manufacture software and understand company software.

PREFERRED SKILLS (TECHNICAL, CLERICAL, LANGUAGE, ETC.)

• ASE certifications and CDL a plus but not required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to walk, stand, crawl, crouch, kneel, climb or balance.
• Must be able to lift at least 75lbs.

EQUIPMENT USED

• Must have own basic tools and be able to use company supplied impact wrenches, torque wrenches, generators, welders and computers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
