Position Requirements:
- The position requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Educational Psychology, or closely related field.
- The qualified candidate must be licensed as a LICSW, LMFT, LPCC, or LP.
- The qualified candidate must have at least 1 year (12 months) of experience in a mental health services position or closely related occupation within a college/university setting. The qualified candidate must also have at least 1 year (12 months) of experience with all of the following: (a) providing diagnostic assessments, functional assessments, treatment planning, and clinical interventions for children, adolescents, and adults with mental illnesses; (b) utilizing Ochin Epic electronic medical documenting to complete mandated documentation; and (c) coaching individuals and group behavioral interventions, psychoeducation, treatment planning and adherence, and self-advocacy.
- All experience may be gained concurrently.
Mental Health Central Intake (Behavioral Health Therapist)
Position Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic assessments for all mental health service lines and provide treatment recommendations and referrals based on illness management and recovery model.
- Engage patients and family members in the care delivery model of whole person team based care.
- Prepare and complete mandated documentation through Ochin Epic electronic medical documenting within specified timelines including diagnostic assessments, safety plan assessments, as well as required screenings.
- Organize data and input data into electronic health record according to required competencies set by department.
- Participate in quality assurance activities, interdisciplinary case consultation, peer reviews and care collaboration.
- Work within an interdisciplinary team.
- Work in conjunction with referral coordinator to schedule services with appropriate services and providers.
- Conduct reassessments to ensure patients are able to maintain services that are assisting in mental health stabilization.
- Provide crisis assessments and complete safety plans to support patients with mental health concerns.
- Adapt and implement outcome-focused, trauma-informed, evidence-based, and culturally-sensitive psychotherapy models and interventions to patients’ strengths, skills, and developmental levels.
- Position allows working from home within commuting distance of worksite location in Minneapolis, MN.
