We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled medical technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine medical laboratory tests and procedures, including sample collection, analysis, and reporting of results. The medical technician will work closely with other members of the healthcare team to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Medical Technician Position Details:

• Type: Per Diem
• Facility type: Assisted living

• Shift & Schedule: Flexible

Responsibilities:

• Collect and analyze biological specimens such as blood, urine, and tissue samples
• Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures, including microscopy and chemical analysis
• Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies
• Ensure quality control and accuracy of test results
• Record and report test results to healthcare professionals
• Follow established laboratory policies and procedures
• Participate in continuing education and training programs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology, biology, or a related field
• Certification as a medical technician by a recognized agency
• Experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Current BLS certification
• Two (2) positive work references
• Successfully complete and pass a background check and drug test.
