Job Summary and Qualifications

Program Coordinator:The Residency Program Coordinator directs the Graduate Medical Education (GME) administrative activities for the residency program, in conjunction with the physician program directors, GME Director and ADIO. Involves general guidance and direction by leadership. The employee will be expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental, accreditation requirements and hospital policies and procedure.

Medical Student Coordinator:Direct all the Medical Student administrative activities for HCA Florida North Florida Hospital, in conjunction with Program Coordinator, Program Directors, Physician Faculty, and the GME Director. This position involves general guidance and direction by leadership. The employee will be expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental, Medical School requirements and hospital policies and procedure.

EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required; Master’s degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED:

Previous administrative and project management experience. Experience working with Medical Residency or Clerkship Programs Preferred.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

Excellent communication skills (Verbal and written); excellent organizational skills, attention to details; ability to work with computers on common office software; ability to learn electronic data entry and evaluation systems.
