Medical Office Courier

Full-Time - Farmington Hills, Michigan

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Medical Office Courier will be responsible for organizing and delivering mail and correspondence to various MHP medical clinic offices on a daily work week (Monday – Friday) basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Gather and organize mail and correspondence to prepare for delivery to individual medical clinic offices on a daily basis.
• Communicate with offices for special pickups and deliveries as directed by the office, using company provided cell phone or pager.
• Must be comfortable and flexible to travel to and from individual offices across the metro Detroit area using a company provided vehicle.
• Provide care, organization, cleanliness and confidentiality with any and all correspondence given for transport.
• Communicate effectively the needs of office and supervisory staff as needed for requests and direction of deliveries.
• Must be able to handle small and large size loads and deliveries.
• Must be able to multi-task, be a team player, friendly and enjoy working with people.
• May be asked to do special deliveries or projects at a moment’s notice.
• Manage time effectively during routes and allow for slower traffic periods and times, practicing safe driving techniques and rules of the State of Michigan highways and roads at all times.
• May be asked to maintain company provided vehicle by obtaining required service for the vehicle and regular oil changes, and fill with gas as needed.
• Must have a valid, clear driving record and driver’s license.
