Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of medical-related billing experience .
• Excellent data entry, typing and organizational skills and previous experience with at least one billing system.
• Experience in Cardiology preferable
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD coding.
• Knowledge of eClinicalworks software required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process payments from insurance companies and patients and balance daily batch posting.
• Process refunds and overpayments for insurance companies and patients.
• Process credit card payments.
• Minimal Accounts receivable follow-up with insurance carriers.
• Correct edits from clearinghouses.
• Follow up on EOB's
• Assist with month-end processes.
• Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
