Job Description
Perform intermediate level general maintenance work; responsible for varied maintenance and repair of facilities.
Repair or replacement of all types of interior and exterior lighting fixtures
Miscellaneous repair of walls, floors and ceilings, including items such as replacement of floor tile, repair of damaged drywall or plaster, replacement of lay-in celling tile.
Repair or replacement of electrical devices such as light switches and receptacles.
Replacement of broken window glass.
Maintenance of air handling equipment, including changing filters, lubricating and cleaning of coils and adjusting or replacing belts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Salary
Salary Range: $18.49 - $21.00 Hourly
Grade: GGS D

7:30AM - 4:00PM
Monday through Friday
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary.
- Two years of general maintenance or construction of facilities, with preference given to maintenance experience.
- Pass a written test in varied areas, such as carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing and general maintenance within six months of hire.
- A person working in this classification will need, on a daily basis, to be able to:
- Grasp, lift, maneuver, rotate, and otherwise use small to large trades tools and equipment
- Grasp, lift, carry, and set down heavy objects (50-80 lbs.)
- Grasp, turn, twist, pull, push, lift, and otherwise move equipment, controls, parts, etc.
- Visually assess maintenance, construction, and repair needs
- Climb and work from ladders, stairs, and scaffolding
- Work in areas where high levels of heat, moisture, dust, and noise are present
- Wear appropriate PPE while accomplishing assigned tasks
Must possess a valid driver’s license, which will allow legal operation of a motor vehicle in the State of Missouri.
