We are looking for a Materials Planner who is responsible to e coordinate delivery of material from suppliers, domestic and foreign, in support of production requirements. The material planner will work as part of the materials management team to support 1) right-size of inventory 2) inventory accuracy 3) stability in the plant through utilization of SAP system to communicate with suppliers


The team is ready to act immediately on those candidates who are the best fit for the role. You’ll first hear from someone in Talent Acquisition to schedule a phone screen, and then the next step will be a personal interview with our Hiring Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Plan purchased components to meet production schedules.
  • Expedite material as needed to avoid line interruption or impact to customer shipments
  • Maintain inventory levels according to inventory level plan
  • Monitor/Track overseas shipments to ensure on time delivery
  • Maintain PFEP (plan for every part) data in SAP
  • Follow-up of past due requirements
  • Maintain Supply WEB for all non-EDI suppliers
  • Manage incoming receiving Audits
  • Daily receipt reconciliation of incoming material
  • Use SAP generated reports to monitor open/ late deliveries
  • Issue DPR/MRR’s for supplier delivery issues
  • Respond to Mfg. inquiries regarding purchased parts
  • Schedule LTL shipments
  • Track premium freight via database
  • Other tasks as required.

Education:


  • APICS Certification a plus

Skills & Experience:


  • Experience using SAP or similar MRP/ERP system
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel in particular)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in Materials Management / Production Planning or Purchasing environment
  • 2+4 years experience working with ERP system, SAP a plus
  • Experience in lean environment
  • APICS Certification a plus
