Material Conveyance Auditor
Role Summary
Purpose and Responsibility of the Position:
The Material Conveyance Auditor is responsible to ensure that the Customer, People, and Investor goals are balanced and met.
Maintain documentation, collect/verify information, and perform audits which pertain directly to the operations/activities of forklift drivers when storing materials and reports to appropriate personnel as required. The Material Conveyance Auditor works closely with Production and engineering conveyance departments to guarantee that the location of materials is timely and accurate to the materials plan. Material Conveyance Auditor assists in assuring inventory accuracy is maintained at the highest possible level (>99%).
Key Responsibilities
- Review the press production schedule of the shift and confirm the storage availability.
- Periodic checks to the shifts to ensure drivers are properly storing material.
- Perform audits of WIP and FG storage areas, confirming the parts are stored in the right location and are organized and stacked according to the label and HFEP (Home for Every Part).
- Document non-compliances on the form provided: check the origin of the product and notify the supervisor to acknowledge the issue, inform them of the correct location, ask for a justification for the non-compliance.
- In recurring non-compliance situations identified for new production batches, a meeting will be set up with the area manager along with conveyance team.
- Once a week, straighten and properly stack the satellite storage area that is most disorganized, taking photos before and after and reporting to production managers.
- Provide support on Engineering Change implementations including moving packaging and materials to new storage locations as per the conveyance team direction.
- Attend Tier 3 meetings of concerns daily with status feedback and requests for support.
- Provide monthly training to material handling associates about properly identifying storage locations and any new relocations implemented.
- Familiar with SAP knowledge (put aways, adjustments, batch not found)
- Knowledge of SAP Shop Floor, ability to scan, label, reconcile.
- Follow good housekeeping practices.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations.
- Perform other duties as required.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 5-8 years of related experience and/or training required. Associates or BBA (Bachelors of Business Administration) desired.
- 3-5 years logistics or material planning experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- 3-5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment desired.
- Must be able to perform Scanning and proper inventory control.
- Current forklift license to be obtained within first 2 weeks in position.
- Must be able to operate a forklift according to Drive Training and Standards.
- Valid driver’s license

Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands / Work Environment
- Constant Finger/ wrist movement (67-100%)
- Frequent sitting (34-66%)
- Occasional standing, walking, stooping, reaching overhead, reaching forward, reaching below waist, handling, both hands required, both legs required (1-33%)
- Seldom balancing and kneeling (1-10/Shift)
- Physically fit and able to repetitively lift 25 - 40 pounds
