Ancestry is looking for someone with a unique combination of technical and strategic ability, with an emphasis in email marketing experience to join our Family History Verticals marketing team. You will execute daily operational tasks including segmenting customer data, working with user experience developers to produce marketing assets, QA, implement feedback and deploy tactical email campaigns and programs using an in-house proprietary system. As part of our marketing team you will collaborate with our teams across multiple offices and time zones to create the customer experience by ensuring that marketing projects are complete and effective. This position is located in our Lehi, UT office.

What you will do:

• Work with the Director of Marketing and across the team to support the implementation, optimization, and execution of email marketing programs focused on acquiring, converting, and re-engaging customers in their lifecycle with family history products
• Support the operations of the email channel working with team members to create email campaigns and automated programs through a proprietary email system
• Build, test, and deploy complex email campaigns including a combination of A/B tests, audience splits, and dynamic personalization using HTML.
• Create complex segmentations using SQL logic and queries
• Perform QA tests to ensure links, images, subject lines, and segmentation lists function and email renders accurately across different email clients using Litmus

Who You Are:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant marketing experience with a focus on email marketing and an understanding of other marketing channels including affiliate, paid search, and digital advertising.
• Experience managing marketing communications and different types of customer lifecycle programs.
• Advanced understanding and practical application of marketing tools
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with HTML and SQL
• You will use written and verbal communication skills to communicate marketing messages and concepts through multiple mediums.
• Proven record for problem resolution and successful completion of complex projects
• Versatile/flexible, can manage competing demands
• Project management skills
• B.A. or B.S. preferred

As a signatory of the ParityPledge in Support of Women and the ParityPledge in Support of People of Color, Ancestry values pay transparency and pay equity. We are pleased to share the base salary range for this position: $58,000 - $120,000 with eligibility for bonus, equity and comprehensive benefits including health, dental and vision.
