We are seeking a Market Development Coordinator to join the Chicago, New York, Raleigh or Charleston office. The Market Development Coordinator-Events (MDC-Events) reports directly to a Market Development Manager-Events. The MDC-Events sits within the Event Center of Excellence on the Global Client Growth team. The team fully produces compelling client-facing events, driven by practice, industry, and in-market initiatives, which generate leads and enhance client and prospect relationships. The MDC-Events position has the responsibility of being an executor for assigned event tasks and assumes stakeholder management and critical thinking duties for assigned events. The ideal candidate has professional service firm event planning experience and is a highly responsive and detailed-orientated individual. The event team’s mission is, “Drive client and prospect engagement by producing world-class, intentional events with targeted follow up.” Candidates must be self-starters who possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing the highest quality client service are strongly preferred.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

Part of the planning team executing complex high-level events, e.g., annual client appreciation events, proprietary programs, symposiums, conferences, CLE presentations, roundtables, marque industry conference receptions, and bespoke client entertainment events
Lead executor for full-scope of assigned events tasks or events; assume stakeholder management and critical thinking duties for assigned events
Establish a thorough understanding of our systems including invitation program, CRM, department and team policies and procedures
Draft and edit e-communications; pull and send RSVP lists and e-comm analytics
Set up technology for virtual events
Use established checklists and timelines templates for task execution and proactive communication
Input post-event event key performance indicators, tracking, and, if applicable, track budget and submit invoices
Coordinating event idea and venue research
Assisting with mailing list updates
Provide feedback and insights for building out best practices and process improvements.
Undertake other projects as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Minimum of two years in a professional services firm or closely related work environment
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels
Excellent attention to detail and sophisticated communication skills
Consistent ability to meet deadlines
Outstanding project management skills and the ability to juggle competing, shifting priorities
Collaborative, team-oriented approach to work
Ability to work independently. Willingness to work hands-on to achieve objectives in an environment with little leverage

Base Salary $57,300 - $107,500 / year

The base salary for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors.
