MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
SALARY RANGE - $80,000 - $90,000

SUMMARY
Responsible for the evaluation and control of machining processes as they relate to programming, fixturing, and tooling of machines and equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Experienced in MasterCam
- Experienced in CAMWorks highly preferred.
- Programs CNC machines
- Recommends improvements in tooling and machining methods to increase safety, quality and throughput
- Presents options for replacement machines and equipment, including recommendations on manufacturing technologies that are new to Cornell
- Defines process routings
- Designs and builds fixturing
- Trains machine operators
- Operates machinery when critical
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- 4yr Manufacturing Engineering degree and high proficiency in CNC programming.
- May substitute some combination of experience and education for 4yr degree.
- Lean Manufacturing experience a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
TRAVEL
No travel required.
