In this position, you'll

  • Own the full life-cycle of talent acquisition, including workforce planning, regulatory requirements, sourcing, screening, hiring and onboarding.
  • Cultivate Mercy's candidate pipeline, using innovative ways to reach active and passive candidates
  • Develop and implement best practices to attract all levels of talent through proactive, timely, competitive and cost-effective recruitment solutions and knowledge of the market, including trends and talent needs.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand department-specific talent acquisition needs and establish regular strategic staffing sessions to determine priority positions.
  • Demonstrate successful partnerships with schools and owns the execution of targeted recruitment strategies and programs (e.g. Earn+Learn, Nurse Internship, C.M.A. externships/job shadows, Apprenticeships)
  • Be accountable for the overall talent acquisition process to ensure staffing needs are met for assigned departments, including recruiting a pool of well-qualified candidates and fostering partnerships with schools, community, associations, boards, etc. to enhance talent acquisition efforts.
  • Work cooperatively and strategically with Marketing to create and deliver recruitment tactics to build and maintain active candidate pipelines for hard-to-fill, high volume or critical positions.
  • Own the onboarding and orientation process ensuring new hires receive a people-first welcome and onboarding.
  • Mentor, develop and grow talent acquisition team to a best-in-class recruiting function ensuring the highest levels of service delivery and hiring standards are consistently met.
  • Assess and evaluate candidates based on job requirements, knowledge, skills, abilities and pre-screening processes and makes recommendations to hiring managers.
  • Establish, monitor, report on and adjust strategies accordingly to achieve on key metrics/outcomes while motivating talent acquisition team to constantly raise the bar.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to leaders and hiring managers throughout the recruiting and talent planning process.
  • Develop and deliver training for leaders and talent acquisition team on recruitment and selection best practices.
  • Serve as the Functional Systems Administrator and point of contact for Position Manager questions, upkeep and changes. Recommends best practices to maximize time and ensure the recruiting process is organized and effective.
  • Manage the partnership and use of contract staffing services and ensures budgetary, contract and compliance requirements are met

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proven leadership skills and experience including a thorough understanding of all aspects of full-cycle talent acquisition.

Experience building recruiting strategies and demonstrated success in using recruiting tools and technologies to accelerate the hiring process and improve quality of hire.
Comprehensive knowledge of current HR practices for recruitment/staffing.
Excellent communication skills required, including the ability to interact with tact and diplomacy in both written and verbal communication.
Ability to interact with all levels of the organization while establishing and maintaining collaborative partnerships.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel. Advanced computer skills required.
Role model for exemplary customer service skills and creates a welcoming environment for all team members.

Professional Experience

  • Seven years of increased responsibility in talent acquisition and execution experience required.

Three years supervisory experience required.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Human Resources, Business or related field required.

Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.

Licensure, Certification, Registration

  • Human Resources certification preferred.

Pay: $86,745.05 - $138,802.50 per year
