Join the BrightStar Care Conejo Valley team which offer a higher standard of medical staffing/homecare and help recruit medical professionals for your community! We are searching for a highly energetic and strategic Manager of Recruiting/HR responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout our branches. This will be achieved through the development of local recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The position will nurture relationships with prospective talent and coach and oversee our Recruiting Team and Retention Specialists. The Manager of Recruiting/HR will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring and onboarding the best possible talent and have a strong bench of RNs, LVNs, CNAs and caregivers to fill all shifts. Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

Responsibilities of the Manager of Recruiting/HR include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead the creation of standout job descriptions.
  • Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position.
  • Efficiently and effectively fill open positions – offices and field.
  • Conduct regular follow-up with management to determine the effectiveness of recruiting and retention plans and implementation.
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting and oversee, tracking costs per hire.
  • Build networks to find qualified passive candidates and develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need.
  • Utilize the internet for recruitment. This includes posting positions to appropriate internet sources; research new ways of using the internet for recruitment.; use social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates.
  • Aid public relations in establishing a recognizable “employer of choice” reputation for the company, both internally and externally.
  • Communicate with employees and field staff regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale, and source new candidate leads.
  • Attend career fairs for recruiting and company recognition.
  • Oversee recruiters to maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Ensure reference and background checks are completed for all potential employees.
  • Oversee preparation and sending new employee orientation packages and on-boarding new hires.
  • Has a complete understanding of BrightStar service model, lines of business we are engaged in, and planning to engage in, and staffing needs - Short Term and Long Term. Understands staffing bench strength needs, and the costs of recruiting and hiring staff.
  • Develops target bench requirements for different lines of service. Establishes recruiting goals from bench requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with recruiting, healthcare recruiting a plus.
  • Proven candidate sourcing and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • Ability to work with various departments and foster teamwork.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Skills in database management and record keeping.
  • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work.
  • Ability to travel for recruitment meetings, college visits, and career fairs and maintain a flexible work schedule.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Gather and analyze information skillfully.
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative in dealing with daily assumptions.
  • A bachelor’s degree is required.
  • One to two years of human resources and recruiting experience required.

Environment, Personal Protective Equipment or Physical Demands

Working Conditions: BrightStar office, contact with clients and caregivers under a wide variety of circumstances. May be required to respond in an emergency situation. Minimal travel required. Vaccination required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
