The Mergers & Acquisitions group is responsible for: 1) leading Arcosa’s investment and acquisition activity across all business segments; 2) monitoring the portfolio of businesses and effectuating the divestiture of non-core assets; and 3) evaluating capital allocation for strategic initiatives. Since 2018, Arcosa has invested more than $1.4 billion across 15+ acquisitions and continues to aggressively pursue inorganic growth.

The Manager, M&A role at Arcosa will expose you to the entire M&A lifecycle, with an emphasis on proactively sourcing acquisitions, performing due diligence, executing transaction processes, integrating acquisitions post-close, and divesting non-core assets. This role will serve as a thought partner, and report directly, to the Vice President of M&A, while also working closely with a broad range of stakeholders, including Arcosa’s leadership team. This is a unique opportunity that comes with a high level of visibility within a well-funded company planning to grow aggressively.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Drive deal flow through proactive sourcing, leading the acquisition target identification process, cultivating industry relationships, and managing our proprietary deal pipeline
  • Coordinate major aspects of business development, including market research, sourcing, seller outreach and qualification
  • Lead preliminary due diligence to assess fit, and make a quick go/no-go decision
  • Own the quantitative analysis for all investment activities, including developing detailed financial models and valuation cases
  • Support M&A execution through diligence process management, including working directly with third-parties (e.g. – bankers, lawyers, etc.)
  • Direct and assist cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of acquisition integration plans post-close
  • Execute ad-hoc analysis for strategic projects
  • Create compelling presentation materials for senior leadership and the Board

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years as an outstanding performer in a top tier investment banking, management consulting, private equity or active corporate M&A role
  • Outstanding attention to detail and organization skills
  • Executive presence and maturity; ability to effectively communicate with senior leaders
  • Strong work ethic, with the ability to work extended hours as circumstances necessitate
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; demonstrated skill in financial modeling and presentation creation
