Role Overview
Under the leadership of the Systems National Manager, this position prepares detailed plans for planning and execution of information protection-related tasks and manage various security control items. It is essential that the incumbent be fluent in Korean and English, and have the ability to convey, communicate and influence decision making when interacting with our Parent Company.
Protecting the organization's information assets through management and operation so that only authorized users (confidentiality) can access accurate and complete information (integrity) when need (availability). This position involves understanding technical concepts related to information security, and taking steps to mitigate the risks associated with collecting, storing, and transmitting data in a business setting. You will be expected to set up security measures that help prevent security breaches, as well as analysing any breeches that do occur. This position also includes oversight of some administrative tasks related to new employee hires and terminations, verifying only appropriate employees have access to required systems with proper authorization. This is a full-time position at our North America HQ, though occasional travel may be required to travel to satellite offices in U.S.A.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, direction and guidance in assessing and evaluating information security risks and monitor compliance with security standards and appropriate policies.
- Create the framework for information security governance and compliance in consultation with all the leadership teams and other stakeholders. Assess, evaluate and make recommendations to executive leadership regarding the adequacy of the security controls.
- Develop and maintain computer related policies and procedures; propose changes to existing policies and procedures to ensure operating efficiency and compliance.
- Develop disaster recovery/contingency plan and security plan; document computer security and emergency measures policies, procedures and tests
- Monitor and report on violations of computer security procedures; discuss enforcement procedures with executive leadership to ensure violations are not repeated.
- Maintain/support usage of internet filtering software
- Monitor internet usage and firewall activity as needed
- Confer with users to discuss issues such as computer data access needs, security violations, and programming changes
- Train users and promote security awareness to ensure system security and to improve server and network efficiency
- Ensure compliance with account administration policies
- User accounts are created to support employee start dates for all required applications
- Accounts are terminated for all related systems upon termination
- Access is restricted based on user needs and requirements
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs):
- Manage and operate Information Security Operations for Mobis Parts America
- Works with internal Mobis teams, business partners and external vendors
- Establish, maintain and distribute security policy
- Working with the Data Protection Officer to protect privacy of company information
- Maintain and inspect security management systems implementations
- Frequently monitoring and audit processes to ensure ongoing compliance
- Support training to raise employees’ awareness of information protection. This includes periodic in person and/or online training and development/distribution of training material
- Analyse existing security systems and make recommendations for changes or improvements
- Support internal/external security audits. This includes working with existing IT vendor to obtain details when needed, as well as provide internal assessment.
- Prepare reports and action plans in the event that a security breech does occur
- Organize and conduct tests and “ethical hacks” of the existing security architecture
- Monitor the network and provide early warning of abnormalities or problems
- Upgrade systems regularly to remain competitive and under modern compliance in the field of security
- Communicate the system status and keep users informed of downtime or changes to the systems team and/or other impacted members
- Keep technical knowledge current through continuing education
- Provide system updates and write code fixes
- Develop company-wide best practices for information security.
- Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management.
- Support User account administration for new hires/terminations/job changes/etc…
- Work with team to support account creation/deactivation in compliance with security policies
Work Schedule & Travel Requirements
- This position typically works 8hrs per day M-F, with possibility of Hybrid work arrangement.
- 10-20%, incl. day trips, overnight and possible overseas travel.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (Or a combination of education and equivalent experience
Experience
- 7+ years of progressive experience in Information Systems Management.
- Direct knowledge of common security protocols, policies and procedures.

- HITRUST CSF Practitioner (CCSFP)
- ITIL Foundation
- CISSP
- CISM
- CISA
- CCSP
- CCNA Security
- CompTIA Security+
Skills
- Excellent communication skills in Korean and English, both verbal and written.
- Advanced knowledge of IS compliance measures.
Problem Solving / Decision Making
- This position must be able to make prudent decisions based on the available facts, to support department policies, and financial goals.
- Final decisions may require interaction with and approval from parent company.
Work Environment
- This position is primarily a professional, office-based job, including use of phones, computers, copy machines, etc.. Occasional light warehouse work will be required.
Physical Demands
- This position is primarily office-based, however some lifting is required. The ability to lift parts, up to 60lbs, during inspection and installation on vehicles is required. The position also requires typical adult flexibility, during the installations.

Pay: $82,680.77 - $120,367.54 per year
