The Manager - Information Security and Risk Governance position at Ally is a member of the Business Line Risk Governance (BLRG) team in Information Protection and Risk Management (IPRM). This manager role will work in the Technology Risk Governance Management team. The successful candidate will have experience in Information Technology and Security, with additional experience working within risk, governance, and compliance areas.
The Work Itself
- Participate in Technology / Cybersecurity Regulatory assessments
- Partner with Ally GRC Sources to facilitate risk governance processes aimed at ensuring quality and consistency of artifacts and responses from GRC partner engagements
- Provide governance & oversight over SOX application validation process
- Assist with Incident Management risk analysis
- Provide oversight and support for adhoc GRC activities
- Build strong relationships with Business Units and GRC partners to facilitate reporting on assessment/exam execution for stakeholders across Technology Business Lines
- Execute and disseminate reports for Senior Leadership
- Create clear, concise materials to communicate regarding risks, issues, and technology concerns with audience appropriate levels of detail
The Skills You Bring
- 5+ years of Information Technology and Risk experience including:
- Information Security, Compliance, Risk, or Audit experience
- General or 'hands-on' information technology experience (Network Engineer, System Admin, Database Admin, Programmer, etc.)
- RSA Archer or other GRC tools
- Working knowledge of common information security and technology concepts, risks, and best practices related to:
- IT Risk Management / Governance frameworks
- Information Technology
- Security
- Consultative skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships within all levels of an organization
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to create organized and articulate reports and presentations from underlying data that are easily understood by teammates and Business Partners
- Experience in the finance / banking industry is a plus
- Security, technology, or audit/compliance related certifications are a plus
- Experience with governed documents such as Policies, Standards, and Baselines
- Experience with Power BI or other BI tools a plus
