How you’ll make an impact:

This position reports to the Director of Corporate Security and will provide leadership and direct management oversight of SiriusXM security operation and staff in our corporate headquarters in New York, NY.

Note: This position requires a non-traditional work schedule, to include long hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

What you’ll do:

• Develop security, emergency response and mitigation plans, policies and procedures that support the overall department goal of reducing risk to our employees, guests and SXM business operations.

• Consult and make recommendations on the physical security systems and controls, including camera systems, badge access systems, visitor control systems, etc.
• Developing security plans for on-site and off-site public events.
• Assist in developing the emergency response plan for a range of security incidents at the site; may serve as an additional point of contact in an emergency or critical circumstance.
• Responsible for formal Threat and Vulnerability Assessments (TVAs) including identifying vulnerabilities and gaps in security posture; developing prioritized recommendations to mitigate risk; providing justification and support for recommended investment in additional security measures.
• Work with internal stakeholders to understand the physical security risks SXM faces and build effective, prioritized programs to mitigate these risks within the assigned budget.
• Provide security recommendations to teams involved in the day-to-day SXM broadcast operations.
• Build effective relationships with external stakeholders, including security related vendors, property owners, local law enforcement and first responders.
• Develop and implement additional security strategies to meet the unique needs of SXM.
• Support the investigation of any concerning behavior, threats, or inappropriate communications that may indicate an elevated risk of workplace violence.
• Deliver security training and awareness programs to include Workplace Violence Prevention training, and other physical security topics as required.
• Investigate physical security incidents.
• Manage administrative tasks associated with security operations.
• Perform various security inspections and audits as required.

What you’ll need:

• 5-7 years of recent Law Enforcement experience in a supervisory role or any combination of military service, law enforcement, or Corporate Security experience in a large company preferred
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and basic applications
• Possess a valid Driver's License
• Possess a valid NYC or NYS pistol carry permit or LEOSA (Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act) (HR 218)
• Ability to obtain NYC/FDNY Fire Safety Certificate and Emergency Action Plan certificate within 6-12 months of hiring and have a solid understanding of this law.
• Knowledge of Lenel program a plus.
• Ability to think independently, make critical decisions and work with a minimal amount of supervision
• Ability to prepare clear and concise reports as required
• Experience in developing emergency plans and handling emergency situations effectively.
• Must be able to work collaboratively with other departments within SiriusXM, contractors, outside agencies, etc.

• Strong working knowledge of physical security systems and processes
• Expertise in workplace incident management and investigations
• Crisis Management expertise
• Experience with emerging security technologies
• Expertise in Contract Security management
• Experience with security design and corporate site launches
• Policy creation and maintenance experience
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $70,00 to $85,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
