Who we want… (Requirements)
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and a minimum ten years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the food and beverage industry.
- Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet, and e-mail.
- May also require working knowledge of drafting and/or design software and applications.
- Must also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Preference will be given to candidates with an Architecture License, Professional Engineering License, or related licenses/certifications.

What we expect… (Essential Functions)
- Act as mentor to support Gray Architects and Engineers related to activities including but not limited to: facility programing and design, hygienic design and construction practices, food safety, and good manufacturing practices.
- Responsible for the management of food safety risks during project proposal and through detailed design and project execution.
- Prepares information regarding the identification and management of Food Safety risks associated with the project.
- Provide research regarding the project design, along with applicable code and Food Safety regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for the oversight of the layout of project and integrates engineering elements into unified design for customer review and approval.
- Participates in presentation(s) and leads the concept development dialogue with appropriate presentation materials.
- Leads the development of design solutions for major proposal offerings and participates in strategic sales opportunities.
- Participate in customer meetings to support the project team.
- Monitor project design activities to assure compliance with Food Safety guidelines.
- Provide design oversight, technical guidance and building code review assistance to Design Managers for projects.
- Monitor projects to assure Gray Food and Beverage standards are followed.
- Integrates work between other Gray family of companies within the food and beverage market.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
May supervise multiple team members and project staff in various positions as well as consultants and design build subcontractors.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training team members, planning, assigning, and directing work; provides input for appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
