Scope of Position
Under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy Services, this position directs, leads, and manages all fiscal affairs for the Department of Pharmacy and its various locations throughout The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, James Cancer Hospital, Ambulatory Surgery Centers, and OSU Physicians, Inc. (OSUP). They serve as fiscal liaison to Shared Services Finance, James Finance, and OSUP/FGP and advises Chief Pharmacy Officer and Pharmacy Administration team on strategic and operational financial matters. The Department of Pharmacy employs over 700 FTEs and has an annual budget in excess of $1 billion. This position also recruits, hires, evaluates, supervises, and develops a team of direct reports.
Position Summary
This position will manage all financial matters for the Department of Pharmacy including budgeting, expenditure review and approval, variance reporting, and ongoing monitoring. This position facilitates the financial operations of the Department of Pharmacy through financial oversight and conducting regular financial analyses to provide strategic guidance. Specific deliverables include the creation of tracking tools to monitor cost savings and revenue generation initiatives in addition to regular oversight of all financial matters to ensure accuracy.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree desirable. 5 years of relevant experience required. 8-12 years of relevant experience preferred.
