We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated team at MVH - South Paris. The Maintenance Technician performs maintenance and repair work to buildings, grounds and equipment, in order to provide a safe, functional, sanitary and comfortable environment for the residents, employees and the public. Also assists Maintenance Supervisor in meeting environmental care compliance with all federal and state regulations. The Maintenance Technician also assists our Maintenance Supervisor in meeting environmental care compliance with all federal and state regulations.

This position requires moderate physical demands including standing, walking, lifting, repeated bending and twisting of the waist, and some prolonged work in awkward positions. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

This position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 7:00am to 3:30pm, with some on-call requirements.

Experience and Skills:

Education/Training/Experience:

• Familiarity with and ability to understand and comply with OSHA regulations and NFPA Safety Codes.
• Knowledgeable of the proper use of building equipment and related mechanical trades, landscaping and janitorial functions.
• Knowledgeable of the hazards involved and safety precautions necessary in building and equipment maintenance and repair, and grounds keeping work.
