Summary
Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, the Maintenance Technician II is responsible for fulfilling daily work order requests, and the maintenance, cleanliness, and care of agency owned and occupied properties, building equipment, and grounds.
This position demonstrates commitment to the mission, vision and values of the agency by engaging in respectful, cooperative relationships with customers (i.e. clients, employees and external stakeholders); being accountable for providing services and ensuring safety to customers while empowering customers in achieving the agency’s mission.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Complete daily work order requests including minor plumbing, painting, electrical, dry wall repair and touch ups, and replace loose and missing ceiling tiles.
Assist in the delivery/pickup of agency owned vehicles to repair shops for repair and maintenance.
Assist in routine lawn care maintenance, tree/shrub care and snow removal on parking lots, walkways, stairs and porches.
Assist in moving furniture, supplies, equipment and other agency materials as needed.
Assist in cleanout & setup of apartments for new tenants.
Perform limited janitorial duties in the cleanliness of buildings and grounds, including floor maintenance (vacuuming, mopping, stripping, waxing and buffing), emptying trash receptacles, and other duties.
Provide excellent internal customer service.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalency.
Two years of relevant experience required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have valid driver's license.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals and maintenance instructions. Ability to write routine reports.
Tools and Equipment: Ability to use hand and power hand tools and operate lawn equipment. Ability to operate a forklift.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to to carry our instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: None
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to climb ladders and perform work from rooftops, regularly required to stand, walk, kneel, use hands, climb stairs, and be able to lift up to 80-100 lbs.
Work Environment: Hours may be set to accommodate cleaning offices when staff is not present. Use of cleaning supplies is an integral part of position. May travel to multiple building locations. May be exposed to extreme temperatures in summer and winter.
