Main position objectives
The Maintenance Technician provides the highest quality on-site technical support for the manufacturing equipment as well as building and grounds maintenance to include: Maintenance and repairs to all equipment, working with machine manufacture techs, any building repair and working with contractors when need.
Position description – Tasks, responsibilities, competencies

- Maintain equipment- preventive maintenance, lubing, etc.
- Identify and repair problem with equipment.
- Leads technical discussions regarding machinery repairs and provides input on a solution.
- Checks forklift - inspections and repairs.
- Helps with ordering parts for repair and maintenance.
- Maintain building – painting, flooring, etc.
- Identify and repair plumbing and other building repairs.
- Help with housekeeping when needed.
- Help with electrical repairs
- Other tasks as assigned by manager.

Work Environment
- Work in this position is both in shop and on the factory floor, either Eagle Rock or at Roanoke locations. While performing the duties of this job in a factory setting, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud and PPE may be required.

Job Specification
Education (area of studies, Management, IT etc.)
Mandatory
- High School diploma or equivalent education (additional technical skills a plus)
- Technical training in electrical systems (single-phase, 3-phase or low voltage systems)
Desirable
- Technical training on logic circuits, electric motors, gears / mechanical devices
Professional experience (description incl. No. of years)
Mandatory
- Minimum 1 year of related maintenance experience including hand on experience with hand and electrical tools
Desirable
- Experience working on CNC and manual machines is highly desirable
- Three (3) years of experience in a field service role
- Three (3) years of experience using measuring / test equipment including micrometers and multi-meters
