Posting Summary
The Libraries facility coordinator will be the leader of facilities (five unique buildings/spaces) as they relate to the library’s programs. Oversee safety protocols to ensure the protection of the libraries’ collections, estimated at over $400,000,000, some of which are irreplaceable. Coordinate and lead discussions about library facilities and emergency/safety planning with Library leadership, staff, faculty and on-campus partners such as Physical Plant, Risk Management and Planning, Design and Construction. Oversee construction projects, renovations, and space planning in library facilities. Assume operational oversight and administration of facilities as they relate to research and outreach programs. Assist in formulating goals, strategies and policies for operations, equipment and facilities growth and maintenance. Serve as liaison with internal partners and external contractors; collaborate with university partners to ensure facilities serve the libraries’ and the universities’ educational programs. Manage daily operations and administrative functions and assist in developing operational budgets. Oversee academic and service tenants who are located in library buildings. Monitor inventory, equipment and compliance with internal standards and external regulatory guidelines based on comprehensive knowledge and understanding of University policies and procedures as well as Library standards. Oversee and manage the Libraries Mailroom and Libraries Courier Service. Operate University vehicle as needed.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Associates degree and three to five years’ related experience required. Experience with computer aided design software. Must be able to successfully manage multiple projects and have supervisory experience. Must be able to read and interpret blue prints. Must be able to lift/carry 10 lbs. frequently, up to 70 lbs. occasionally and push/pull 50 lbs. occasionally, and walk/stand for prolonged periods. Specific physical requirements apply based on job functions. Initial employment contingent upon successful completion of physical screening. Valid Vermont driver’s license or ability to obtain, and driver’s check required.
