POSITION: Maintenance Painter

SALARY: $24-28/hour; Based on experience

The Alameda County Agricultural Fair Association is a non-profit organization managing nearly 300 public and private events held on our property each year. Beyond the annual Alameda County Fair, events include large consumer and trade shows, festivals, corporate events, concerts, graduations, picnics, weddings and other social events.

POSITION SCOPE:

The Maintenance Painter provides professional painting services for our facility. The Maintenance Painter will be responsible for performing ongoing preparation and painting tasks. This is a regular, full time position eligible for our generous benefit and leave plans. If you have experience in commercial and/or residential painting and a strong attention to detail, you may be the perfect fit for this job.

YOU WILL:

· Prepare surfaces to be painted, stained or sealed

· Power-washing, scraping, cleaning of buildings, equipment and surfaces

· Estimate quantities and order paint and supplies while maintaining records of projects, time and material usage

· Apply in a professional manner paint, stain or sealer via brush, roller or sprayer

· Maintain clean worksites and equipment with proper disposal of leftover materials or waste

· Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES YOU WILL BRING:

· Experience with Commercial or residential painting

· Surface preparation, caulking and taping experience

· Familiarity with tools and equipment in painting trades

· Experience painting large and small scale projects

· Must be a reliable worker who is able to perform routine tasks without supervision

· Must have a valid California Driver’s License and ability to be on company insurance
