Independent Living Maintenance Director

Position Summary:
Responsible for the community’s physical plant, grounds and equipment in-order to ensure a safe environment. Manages the process and supervises all Maintenance Staff to ensure accuracy of job duties.

Essential Functions:

• Because BrookHaven exists to care for our residents, regular attendance and punctuality are essential to provide quality care.
• Manage and train the staff to ensure schedules are filled and jobs are complete.
• Order and pick up supplies needed.
• Orders and distributes all supplies for maintenance, maintains monthly budget, and codes invoices.
• Oversee building operations (HV/AC, Lighting, Sprinkler, Kitchen Equipment, Elevators, etc).
• Document and track all PMs.
• Put together quotes and schedule contractors.
• Attend Department Head meetings.
• Assist with all extracurricular activities (barn sale, car show, fishing derby, etc).
• New resident orientations. Alarm changes and communication to cottage residents.
• Commitment to BrookHaven mission, values, philosophy and Service Excellence Initiative..
• Must be able to read, write and understand the English language.

Position Responsibilities:

• Must follow BrookHaven Policies and Procedures
• Completes work orders in a timely manner.
• Maintains records for the environmental departments and conducts preventative maintenance program.
• Attend required in-service education.
• Orients new hires on fire safety, MSDS and lock out tag out procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver’s license without restrictions.
• HVAC certified required.
