General Carbide in Greensburg, PA is looking for Machinists. General Carbide has more than 100,000 square feet of production space with state of the art facilities.
During our 55 year experience as a leader in manufacturing our employees have driven and continue to drive the success of General Carbide. We are growing rapidly and will continue to grow by investing in our employees and providing training opportunities for career development in the form of on-the-job training or state recognized apprenticeship programs. You will produce precision parts using both manual and automated equipment and accurate measurements.
Requirements:
- 1-3+ years of machining experience preferred
- Proven experience as a machinist/machining
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals
- Possess good math skills
- Able to lift heavy items, up to 30lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship would be a plus
- Pass a background check and drug test
