Job Title: Machine Operator

Location: Montpelier, IN

Department: Manufacturing

Essential Job Functions

• Install tooling, set up and operate all machines within the cell.

• Troubleshoot and monitor process.

• Visually monitor quality and with appropriate tests/gauges.

• Perform basic maintenance and preventative maintenance activities on cell.

• Utilize forklift to move parts bins or as needed.

• Maintain housekeeping standards.

• Must be available for overtime.

• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Essential Skills & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

• Ability to work overtime as needed.

• Mathematical ability (add, subtract, multiply and divide), practical application of percentages and ratios.

• Ability to read and write, effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to understand written, verbal, or diagrammatical form of instructions.

Physical Demands

• Walking, standing, bending.

• Use of hands, arms, and fingers regularly.

• Lifting and carrying 5-25 pounds regularly, occasionally 25-65lbs, use team lift for any loads over 35lbs.

• Pushing, pulling, reaching.

Personal Protective Equipment

• Hearing protection

• Safety Glasses

• Safety shoes – slip resistant and safety toe

• Other additional PPE may be required when operating machinery or using chemicals.

Working Conditions

Inside the working environment, the production floor. Noise levels on the production floor require hearing protection, the temperature fluctuates dependent on season. Working around powered industrial vehicles. Production floor can become slippery with oil.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.25 - $20.50 per hour
