Schedule for Yard Associate / General Labor / Lube Technician:

Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 5:30PM

Environment for Yard Associate / General Labor / Lube Technician:

The General Laborer will be working in a recycling scrap yard. This role will be outside 100% of the time. The General Laborer will be operating multiple pieces of equipment including: hilo, forklift, skidsteer, front end loader and truck trailer. We look for individuals who enjoy working outside year round and love hands on work. It is essential to find General Laborers that are mechanically inclined. Ideal experience for the lube technician to have would be demolition, construction, lumber yard, oil change technicians, mechanics, mechanical inclination roles, and any type of role that is outside and requiring physical labor with machinery or vehicles.

Yard Associate / General Labor / Lube Technician Position Summary:

The Lube Technician is responsible working on our fluid recovery unit. You will be pulling engines, batteries, fluids and tires of off vehicles. Will monitor and ensure safety, environmental responsibility, quality, value-add, morale, peer performance, and continuous improvement standards are met. Will coordinate the daily run schedule with the machine supervisor.

• Run the machine within the prescribed operating parameters while trying to achieve the machines fullest potential.
• Monitor machine performance and product quality with an understanding of all the machine adjustments that affect performance and quality. Perform maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Monitor the safety and environmental controls to make sure we are operating within the prescribed parameters of our work instructions.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to ensure safety and quality.
• Prepare and submit paperwork for production, maintenance, inventories, receiving, and others as necessary.
• Assist by operating small equipment to maintain operations as needed. May also sort or operate at other production machines.
• Work to ensure a clean and orderly work area and operate mobile equipment using safety regulations.

Yard Associate / General Labor / Lube Technician Qualifications:

• Ideal to have 3 to 5 months experience operating hilo and skidsteer, not required.
• Useful experience to have, but not required would be working on conveyors, machinery, equipment, building trades, construction, landscaping, welding, torching, agriculture / farming background.
• Mechanical aptitude working on vehicles is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast pace environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated safety consciousness
