Maintenance Crewman

AT THE

Washington County Legacy Park

• Full Time with Benefits
• $20.27 hourly

Performs a variety of skilled and regular maintenance duties and event set up / take down as needed for the day-to-day operations of the Legacy Park facilities including: event venues, arena, race track, holding corrals, stalls, and concession buildings.

Works primarily at Legacy park performing various maintenance functions, but may be tasked with general maintenance at other County facilities; performs building and grounds maintenance; operates light and heavy equipment; participates in maintenance and upkeep; assists with landscaping operations related to planting and grooming of lawns, planting beds, trees, shrubbery; participates in installation and maintenance of sprinkler systems, timers, etc.; participates in the application of fertilizers and pesticides; operates ATV with mounted spraying equipment to perform weed control spraying.

Ensures timely maintenance, preparation and grooming of arena in anticipation of various scheduled events; meets specifications for various events, i.e., team roping, barrel racing, rodeo, roping, demolition derby, motocross, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 
  Graduation from high school;

AND

• Experience with operation of medium and heavy equipment, carpentry, plumbing, painting and other related fields, preference given for experience in recreation facility maintenance;

OR

• An equivalent combination of education and experience.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• 
  Must possess a valid Utah Drivers license.
• Must be available for 24 hour emergency call out.
• Schedule requires regular weekend and evening work and some holidays
