JOB SUMMARY
The Retail Operations Logistics Manager will report to the Regional Director and will oversee the home delivery operations & logistics for the state of Florida. In this role you will be both tactical and strategic in identifying opportunities to grow and optimize our delivery operations to best achieve our sales goals and ultimately drive profitable delivery operations. You will be responsible for route planning and optimization, fleet management, developing & evolving delivery SOPs, and monitoring and evaluating delivery systems and performance. This position will work closely with retail management and with cross-functional partners across operation's logistics, compliance, IT and many others.
CORE JOB DUTIES
- Oversee and execute the home delivery operations & logistics strategy to align to the regional short- and long-term sales goals.
- Develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce costs (i.e. route optimization)
- Execute and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly key metrics such as delivery revenue, transport costs, fill rates and on time deliveries.
- Measure key performance metrics to identify areas of opportunity for process efficiencies and cost savings; recommend solutions to retail leadership.
- Maintain ongoing, proactive, and consistent communications with retail management on delivery operations performance, process improvements and problem resolution.
- Monitor and audit the electronic vehicle security systems – OnFleet, Geotab, and provide retail leaders with weekly safety reports.
- Report any delivery route capacity issues to the Regional Director and assist in adjusting routes to increase capacity.
- Develop and manage fleet in all capacities, including maintenance plans, replacement, vehicle reporting, lease/buy acquisition planning, security, and insurance etc.
- Manage maintenance/service budgets, reporting and ensure maintenance on vehicles are serviced to maintain safety.
- Train store managers in Geotab on full system functionality to ensure leaders have the visibility to monitor drivers' performance; including safety and compliance with all local, state, federal requirements.
- Partner with retail management to evaluate existing zip codes (zones) and identify new zones to expand our delivery operations.
- Collaborate with COE and HR to maintain the delivery driver insurance roster for home delivery drivers.
- Maintain online delivery availability as needed for outages via internal software.
- Distribute and take inventory on delivery debit cards across fleet.
- Work cross functionally with operations team to support vehicle replacement and substitutes, as needed.
- Author and update required SOPs and regulations; ensure updates to document repositories and configuration management tools (i.e., SharePoint)
- Maintain and enforce a culture of compliance for all activities with strict adherence to the Florida Statues for THC and CBD products, as well as regulations set forth by local, state and federal agencies such as OSHA.
- Understand and ensure compliance of all state rules/regulations, working closely with our internal compliance partners to ensure regulations are met.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field, Master's and/or Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing certification/training a plus
- 5+ years commercial distribution, supply chain, and/or logistics experience
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
- Experience within a fast-paced and highly regulated industry is preferred
- Must be based in Florida as there may be potential travel within the state required for this position.
- Multi-site logistics and operations experience is preferred
- Proven track record of using analytical problem-solving skills to meet and exceed performance metrics.
- Demonstrated negotiation and influence skills
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Must maintain a high level of integrity, personal motivation, and sense of urgency
